The Expedition 64 crew comprised of NASA astronauts Kate Rubins, Mike Hopkins, Victor Glover, Shannon Walker and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency astronaut Soichi Noguchi wanted those earthbound a joyful New Year from area in a movie submitted to NASA’s social websites.

Glover said among the most well-known New Year’s Eve customs is seeing the ball drop in Times Square in nyc, an event that many needed to watch TV this season on account of this coronavirus pandemic.

“As a lot people celebrate the New Year out of house this season, we have attracted this famed heritage to distance to discuss with you,”

Hopkins said. But, Noguchi added that because the astronauts were in zero gravity, so their own party is going to have a”twist”

“We hope that this inspires you to observe in your own manner,” Walker stated. Even the astronauts gave a fast countdown and Rubins, who had been holding an inflatable globe, introduced it to zero gravity.

Rather than the normal ball drop, the world sailed directly above their heads.
